BULLETIN DESCRIPTION: Individual or group project work where student(s) must apply mechanical engineering principles to research, innovation, service or entrepreneurship projects. Student(s) work under the direction of mechanical engineering faculty.

May include, but not be limited to: To teach the student how to conduct research [1,2,5]; To teach the student how to apply the knowledge gained in other classes to solve mechanical engineering problems [1,5]; To teach the student the use of modern engineering tools [11]; To teach the student the need for and ability to engage in life-long learning [9]; To teach the student to design and/or analyze systems, components, or concepts to responsibly meet societal and/or practical needs [3,5,6,8,9,10]; and To teach the student how to present their engineering work through oral, written, and/or other visual means [7].
